Colton – Sunday 27th May 2018

Mark Seaman back in the frame at Colton this week

Round 11 this week was at Colton. This can be a very hard venue with some very big wise carp. 13 members turn out this week, all hoping for a peg full of big carp. Once again it was Mark Seaman who ran away with match. Mark drew the end peg and made no mistake weighing 139lb for a comfortable win. 2nd place goes to Trevor Dodson,Trevor drew the other end peg and weighed 96lb 12oz. 3rd place was the bandit himself, Alex Watson. Alex weighed 92lb 14oz half a fish short Alex. There was some good back up weights this week too. Tony Wilkinson had one carp weighing over 14lb so you don’t need many for a big weight here.

Old Stables – Sunday 20th May 2018

Dennis Willis wins again at Old Stables

Round 10 this week was at The Old Stables Nth Walsham. 14 members turned out this week so it was a full house as normal. The forecast for the day was misty to start and get brighter as the day went on. This weeks winner, making it 2 on the spin, was Dennis Willis. Dennis drew peg 16 and caught fish from the off. He caught down both edges to weigh a very good 67lb 6oz well done Dennis. 2nd place this week goes to Dave Agass. Dave fished peg 4 and caught well all day just a little bit away from the reeds on his trusty meat balls and tipped the scales round to 59lb 8oz. 3rd goes to Dave Dearman. Dave fished the other side of the reed bed in the corner on peg 5. Dave weighed in 33lb 9oz well done. Everybody caught fish but it was a hard day for most.

Melton Ponds – Sunday 13th May 2018

Dennis Willis celebrating his win this week

Round 9 this week was at Melton Pond 4. With the weather a little cooler this week and a chance of a light shower or two. 14 members made the long drive this week. With the draw done it was time to see if anyone could stop the inform Mark3. Dennis Willis had drawn peg 1 at the bottom end where we had been told all the fish were being caught. Dennis made no mistake and ran out the winner by 6oz’s with 62lb 14oz. Dennis caught on the feeder and down the edge at the end. Well done Dennis. 2nd place goes to Dave Paynter, Dave was fished peg 14 which has always been a good area in the past. Dave weighed 62lb 8oz ( just one more Dave). 3rd place goes to Mark Harmer for a second week running (must try harder). Mark fished peg 4 and had 10 carp for a total of 52lb 4oz. Everybody caught fish but it was hard in some areas.

Reepham – Sunday 6th May 2018

Mark Seaman wins this week at Reepham

Round 8 this week was at Reepham Fishery. With 18 members turning out this week. With a warm day forecast and no rain for a change it was time to start. Mark Seaman came out on top spot this week from his peg on the long lake. Mark drew peg 32 and caught fish steadily all day from a patch of reeds to his right( that’s not fishing). Mark weighed a very good 94lb 2oz. 2nd goes to Mr frame himself Mark Charlwood who dropped down one place from last weeks win. Mark was fishing peg 20 on the main lake. Mark fished the pellet waggler and weighed in a good 63lb. 3rd this week goes to Mark Harmer. Mark drew peg 29 in between the two lakes and this can be a very good area. Mark caught lots of the new F1’s and a few bigger carp near the end to weigh 43lb 13oz. So all that practice in the winter for team Mark 3 payed off today. You won’t win anything in this club unless you are called Mark Lol ? ?.

Martham B Pit Sunday 29th April 2018

Mr Consistent AKA Mark Charlwood wins on a very hard day at Martham B Pit

Round 7 of the summer series (if you can call the weather summer). Today we travelled to Martham pits, to fish B pit. 19 members turned up for this one even a certain Mr Chris Tims turned out! For most people it was the first time at this venue. With the draw done and the rain starting to fall we were of to see you would be victorious this week. The lake fished very hard today with quite a few D’N’W’s. This weeks winner was the most consistent man in the club Mark Charlwood. Mark drew the flyer peg 17 and weighed a very good 28lb 12oz on a very hard day. 2nd place and next peg 18 was Trevor Dodson. Trevor caught a mixed bag of carp and bream to weigh 17lb 8oz. 3rd was the other lucky Mark in the club Mark Seaman. Mark fished peg 3 and weighed 15lb 2oz. Well done to them 3. The only other double figure weight was Matt Jefferys who had 13lb dead from peg 9 thanks to a last minute carp on his roach rig and double maggot!

Bartles Lodge – Sunday 22nd April 2018

The pretty and prolific Bartles Lodge Fishery

Round 6 of the summer series comes from Bartles Lodge, Elsing. 15 members made the trip this week,and with a very warm day forecast everyone was expecting a few bites. And it turned out that everyone had a few bites for a change. This weeks winner was Mark Seaman. Mark fished peg 7 and caught steady all day for a very impressive 160lb. 2nd was venue expert Alex(the bandit)Watson who was fishing peg 9 and weighed just short of the ton with 94lb 4oz. And 3rd goes to Mark Charlwood, who else, as he always in the frame. Mark caught 81lb 8oz. There were some good back up weights also this week. On a serious note now, as a club we need to get the weights right in the nets as we had 2 weights over the owners limit. We need to correct this if we want to carry on fishing this very pretty and prolific fishery.

Holly Farm Sunday 15th April 2018

Alex Watson wins at Holly Farm

Round 5 of the summer series comes from Holly Farm, South Walsham. There was a very good turn out for this one which was quite a surprise to a lot of people. The the forecast set to be very warm and everyone was little upbeat but as normal the sun never came out all day, but it did stay dry. The winner this week was the bandit himself Alex Watson. Alex only pulled peg 5 out of the bag which is the flyer, and caught through out the day to weigh 23lb 8oz which is quite a low weight if you remember what this place used to fish like. 2nd goes to Mr Consistent Mark Charlwood. Mark fished peg 21 which is normally a bad area but he had a run of nice carp down the edge near the end to weigh 20lb 12oz. 3rd place goes to Dennis Willis who also caught fish down the edge and weighed 15lb 12oz. The weights are still quite low. We need the sun to shine.

Barford Pleasure Lake – 8th April 2018

Mark Seaman back to winning ways this week

Round 4 of the summer series comes from the Pleasure lake at Barford. 14 members arrived for this one. With the usual rain on Sunday forecast it was time to see who would be on all the fish. This weeks winner was Mark Seaman who made a return to form. Mark had drawn near the cafe end of the lake and caught double what any one else could manage. Mark weighed an impressive 80lb 4oz. Well done Mark. 2nd place goes to Mike Dossena. Mike was on peg 29 and weighed 44lb 2oz which was 2 carp and lots of proper skimmers(as he called them) well done Mike. 3rd place goes to last weeks winner Matt Jeffries, Matt fished peg 13 and weighed 43lb 4oz. Well done to him.

Round 3 today was a change from Park Farm to Cobbleacre. 15 members turn out for this one. With cooler weather again all week and lots of cold rain everybody was thinking it might very hard, and boy was it hard. With further rain and hail it was time to start. It was new member Matthew Jeffreys who ran out the winner this week. Matthew caught 3 carp and some roach for a total weight of 11lb 12oz very well done on a very difficult day. 2nd place goes to Dave Agass who weighed 7lb 13oz well done Dave. 3rd place goes to the other new member Jon Burton. Jon had one fish for 5lb 14oz well done to him. There was only 4 others who caught fish this week so the summer needs to get here fast.

Melton Ponds – Sunday 25th March 2018

Mark Harmer makes it 2 wins on the spin at Melton
Round 2 of the summer series was at Melton Pond 4. 13 members made the long drive today. With the forecast set to be much warmer than last week some were looking forward to the 5 hours fishing, and some were not. With the draw done and everyone ready it was time to see who would be victorious this week. Once again it was Mark Harmer who ran away with things for his second win on the bounce. Mark caught carp steadily all day at 14m dobbing bread for a total weight of 47lb 8oz. First time I’ve done 2 wins back to back. 2nd place goes to Tony Wilkinson. Tony caught 4 big carp right near the end and weighed 29lb 8oz fishing bread again. Mark Charlwood made the frame again this week with 12lb 6oz for 3rd. It fished very hard again because of the cold weather. Some people had 1 fish and some had none, things can only improve in the coming weeks. Next up it’s cobbleacre. See you all there.
