Melton Ponds 4 – Sunday 25th August 2019

Melton Pond 4 was the venue on a very hot summer day.

16 members made the long trip this week and everyone was hoping to have a nice day fishing but it didn’t turn out quite that way as it fished very hard.

Dennis Willis was this week’s winner weighing 43lb dead from peg 6.

Mark Charlwood was fishing peg 19 and weighed 32lb 13oz for second place this week.

And third place goes to Mark Harmer who was fishing peg 12 and weighed 32lb 6oz.

This week there were two swimmers. Trevor Dodson told me at the end that his peg was disturbed mid way through the match with Mr Gipson doing the breast stroke come doggy paddle after his top kit.

Also at the end of the match Mark Seaman took to the water to retrieve Mr Mark C ‘s top kit.

Old Stables – Sunday 18th August 2019

Jon Burton this weeks winner at The Old Stables
The Old Stables North Walsham was the venue this week. 14 members made the trip meaning it was full house. The forecast was for sunshine but we had a little rain and even thunder.
With the level of water in the lake being rather low everyone expected a hard day fishing.
Jon Burton was fishing peg 15 and caught steadily all day for his first win of the summer weighing a very good 63lb 19oz.
Well done Jon!
Second place fishing peg 12 was Mark Harmer who had a fun day trying to pull carp from the lilies and successfully weighed 47lb 13oz. Good job Mark!
Third place fishing peg 16 was Mark Charlwood. He caught some nice carp and weighed 33lb 2oz. Well done Mark!

Cobble Acre – Sunday 11th August 2019

Dave Agass in the frame again winning this week with 39lb 8oz

14 members made the trip today to see if they can win this competition. The weather was sunny and quite warm with  strong wind which would make fishing rather difficult. At the draw bag Mark Seaman pulled peg 1 out and everyone thought they were fishing for second place. But unluckily for him Dave Agass had different plans. He was fishing peg 8 and ran out the winner with a total weight of 39lb  8oz . Well done Dave! ( everyone wants to know what they gave you in hospital 😀) 

Second place goes to John Higginson who was fishing peg 6 and weighed 27lb 8oz which included one carp which was over 10lb. Well done John! 

Having drawn peg 1 Mr Seaman was still in the frame coming third with 26lb 10oz.

Reepham – Sunday 4th August 2019

Mark Harmer wins with 188lb 13oz off peg 27 – AGAIN!!!

The venue this week – Reepham Fishery.
20 members turned up once again this week all hoping it would be their lucky day. The weather was overcast but really warm and good for fishing. The weights on the Tuesday open were phenomenal and everybody was hoping for more of the same. However, it didn’t go quite so well for some but everybody caught some fish. This week’s winner was Mark Harmer who had done some practice on the Tuesday open. Mark somehow managed to pull peg 27 out of the bag again and made no mistake weighing a very impressive 188lb 13oz. Well done!
Second place this week was last week’s winner Mark Charlwood. He was fishing peg 2 and weighed another good weight of 135lb 3oz. Well done, Mark!
Mike Dossena was on peg 4 and also weighed a very good weight of 111lb 4oz. There were some good back up weights also but some still had to work hard for some bites.
