Barford Pleasure Lake – 26th May 2019

Alex Watson wins at Barford
Alex landing one of his Lumps

16 members turned up for this week’s match hoping it would be their lucky week
Overcast conditions greeted us this week with quite a strong wind which made fishing rather difficult.
Alex Watson pulled peg 9 from the bag and ran away with things for an easy win
Alex caught steady all day down his left hand edge. He weighed 92lb 8oz which included 3 very large carp ( lucky old bandit 😉)
Second place and one peg down from Alex was Trevor Dodson on peg 8
He also caught down the edges for a total weight of 69lb 3oz
Mark Seaman was on peg 7 and weighed 55lb 10oz
Well done to them three!👍
Everyone else had reasonably good day fishing with everybody catching some fish
Would just like to mention Mr Dossena lost one of his top kits to a small skimmer
That is a pity!

Melton Ponds – Sunday 12th May 2019

Alex Watson wins at Melton ponds with 80lb 10oz

We traveled to Melton Pond 4. Eighteen members made the long trip this week to see if it would be their lucky day.
The weather this week was much more like summer unlike the previous weeks, adn with Mr Seaman being on holiday this week, everyone had a chance to win ?
Alex Watson pulled peg 19 out of the bag and put 80lb 10oz on the scales for first place. His catch included some really big carp.
Mark Harmer was fishing peg 2 and caught 4 fish very fast at the start and then struggled for the middle part of the match and then in the last an hour and a half had 7 large carp and weighed 68lb 12oz for being second.
Unusually this week there was no Mr Charlwood in third. Instead Steve Jackman weighed 60lb 13oz for the third place. He also caught some nice big carp.

Mark S makes it 3 in a row at Reepham

16 members turned up this week to see if we could stop Mark Seaman making it three on the trot (but we all failed). With the weather cold wet and a little windy the fishing was always going to be difficult.

Mark Seaman drew peg 34 and made no mistake in winning again with 78lb 4oz.

Alex Watson was in second only 5lb behind Mark with 73lb 13oz from peg 27 ( the flyer). Once again it was Mark Charlwood in third with 49lb 6oz from peg 20. Well done to all them three!
