Railway lake was the venue for round 19. 12 hopefuls turned out this week. With a change in the weather to a typical English summer (ha ha). Everyone had to clean the dust from their waterproofs. Very strong blustery winds as well didn’t help the fishing today. Mark Seaman made a return to winning ways today with 90lb 6oz. You just can’t keep him out of the frame for long. 2nd this week goes to Dave Agass who weighed 79lb 12oz. Mike Dossena was third narrowly missing out on second by 3oz’s (just one more fish Mike). Mike weighed 79lb 9oz. Well done to them three. Melton Pond 4 was the venue for round 18 of the summer series. 18 members made the trip today which is very good turn out. With another hot day ahead and plenty of fish cruising we were all hoping for a few fish in the net. First place this week was Mark Charlwood. Mark was on peg 10 (our pegs) and caught some big carp across to the island for 52lb 12oz. Not bad Mark seeing as you don’t like this place very much! In second place again this week was Mark Harmer. Mark was on peg 13 which on he day was the end peg again. Mark caught some small carp across to the island shallow and had some better fish down the edge at the end. Mark weighed 47lb 8oz (getting closer to 1st). 3rd goes to Trevor Dodson. Trevor was on peg 6 and caught across to the island for a weight of 37lb 3oz. A big well done to them three. Alex (the bandit) Watson drew his favourite peg four out of the bag again and made no mistake. Taking first place once again. Alex fished the edge all day and weighed a very impressive 163lb. Just behind Alex was Mark Harmer who also fished the edge all day and weighed another impressive weight of 155lb 8oz for second. After his win the last time here Mike Dossena had to settle for third this time. Mike weighed 117lb 12oz. Well done to them three. Would just like to mention that Dave Agass got the terrapin cup again this week. Everyone had a good days fishing with the lowest weight being 39lb.
