Round 20 of the the summer series was held at Railway on the Barford Complex. With heavy overnight rain nobody was very confident. With 13 members making the long drive it was time to see if the fish would feed. Was really good to see Dave Paynter making his return after his illness. This weeks winner was Mark Harmer. Mark fished peg 10 and caught f1’s steadily all for 76lb 12oz all caught on hard pellets at 6 metres. 2nd place goes to Mark Seaman. Mark fished peg 2 and caught fish on the feeder for 54lb 2oz. 3rd place this week goes to Dave Agass. Dave fished peg 12 close in on the pole and across on the feeder, and weighed 44lb 4oz. Well done to them three.

Round 19 today comes from Melton Pond 4. 14 members made the long drive hoping it would be their lucky day.With everybody ready it was time for the all in. Everybody was trying to stop Mr Seaman making it 3 in a row. It was Mike Dossena who ran out the winner this week. Fishing our peg 3 on the bottom end of the far side. Mike caught fish steadily all day and weighed 68lb 12lb well done Mike. 2nd place this week goes to Mark Harmer. Mark fished our peg 1 which is on the bottom end and after he had to borrow a keepnet weighed 62lb 2oz well done Mark. Dropping down 2 places this to 3rd this week was Mark Seaman. Mark fished our peg 7 which was the top end on the far side and weighed 61lb. Well done Mark. You just can’t keep him out of the frame. So 7lb between 1st and 3rd it was quite a close one. There was some good back up weights this week too.

Mark Seaman makes it two “tons” in a row as he wins again at Bartles

Round 18 comes from Bartles Lodge Elsing. 13 members made the long drive to this prolific little fishery. With the first rain of the summer series forecast every body was ready to do battle with the very fit little carp. First place this week goes to Mark Seaman again. Mark fished peg 11 and caught fish from the off. Mark made it 2 tons on the spin with his 103lb 6oz so he’s back to his best. Well done Mark. 2nd place this week goes to Mike Dossena. Mike fished peg 4 and weighed 101lb 12oz so it was a one fish match unlucky Mike. 3rd was Kevin Lawson. Kevin fished peg 3 and weighed 92lb. Just can’t keep him out of the frame. Dave Agass caught the resident terrapin again. Everybody caught fish but overall it didn’t fish that great today.

Round 17 today was at Willow on the Barford Complex after the fixture at Metton was cancelled due to bad Algae in the water. A big well done to Dave Agass for rearranging this week at such short notice. Mr Mark Seaman return to form today and ran out the comfortable winner with 112lb 12oz. Mark caught in the feeder and shallow. Well done Mark, you just can’t keep him down for long. 2nd this week goes to Mark Charlwood. Mark also caught on the feeder and shallow and weighed a very good 62lb 10oz. 3rd was Terry Smith who took full advantage of his end peg and caught some nice carp for 52lb 15oz. Well done to them 3.

Mark Harmer gets into winning mode at Old Stables

Round 16 today comes from The Old Stables North Walsham. 14 members turned out this week so all pegs were in. Some members had fished here on Wednesday and reported very good weights so everybody was keen to start. Everyone was trying to stop the In-form Kevin Lawson. First place this week goes to Mark Harmer. Mark fished peg 15 and caught fish on the deck and shallow and weighed 61lb 8oz. Well done Mark. 2nd this week was Kevin Lawson so no hat trick but still in the frame. Kevin weighed 33lb 4oz from peg 9. 3rd goes to Mark Charlwood. Mark fished peg 3 and weighed 31lb 8oz. Everybody caught some fish but not all weighed in. Just like to say that Mr Dossena lost his favourite rig this week, think it was a Christmas present lol.
